Clairlea-Birchmount is the western part neighbourhood of Scarborough, in the Toronto city. The style of Clairlea-Birchmount houses is small bungalows, including two-storey and modest storey-and-a-half houses or detached houses. The south residential homes are features with smaller, steep hill topography and also older home. The north streets homes have a fair uniform in style.

Strangford Post Office is the best remembered of Moffat’s Corners and it was opened in 1863. Strangford Post Office is located in the intersection of Victoria Park Avenues and St. Clair.
In 1873, the Strangford Post Office was closed than Moffat’s Corners became the greater part of Scarborough Junction community. The children started to attend in the Scarborough Junction school in the early 1900’s. After that the neighborhood start to replace the house in the farm land in the 1950’s and one year later in 1951, they replace its name Clairlea Public School.
A good part of Clairlea-Birchmount is cover by shopping centers and big shopping centers are easy to access for the Clairlea-Birchmount neighborhood. The Warden Power Centre and Eglinton Square are the main shopping destination of this area. Here you can easily get large types of big-box retail chain stores at the same time smaller shops of all kinds. Apart from shopping center, many small restaurants, coffee shop and food joints are also available in this area.

A major attraction of this area is Warden Woods, it is a deep ravine valley. A beautiful paved trail in this parkland offers a calming respite to the Clairlea residents in nature. In the Warden Avenue, here situated the Warden Woods Power Centre, which has a movie theatre with eight screens and offers all the latest movie releases. The Detonia Park Golf Course is ideal for challenging scenic course for the beginners and advanced players who are looking to practice their game. Warden Hilltop Community Centre is the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver certified first public building in Toronto. It is featuring with a geothermal heating and cooling system, solar power and green roof. Here a weight room, a double gym, preschool area and teaching kitchen are also including in this Centre.
Clairlea-Birchmount has good transportation system mainly bus. Buses are available in the Warden, Pharmacy, Victoria Park and St. Clair Avenues that connect passengers to the Bloor-Danforth subway line.
