How to manage your time effectively
Time is so much precious, time is money. Particularly when it comes to doing any job or e1running a small business. Yet in a day, there are never more than 24 hours. Are you punctual or late? Do you finish things within the time you were given? Do you complete your work on time? Are you a good time manager?
From above question, if your answer is “no” to any of the questions, that means you are not managing your time as well as you want or properly.
Here are some tips for effectively and efficiently managing your time:
Prioritize work: First of all, organize your to-do list based on important and urgent tasks. Everyone is busy in spite of all, you have to complete your task just in time. So, prioritize work may help you to do your urgent tasks firstly.
Learn to say “no”: Making different time commitments can teach us about how we juggle various engagements and manage our time. This may be a great thing. At some point, we need to learn to decline our opportunities. Our objective must be to take only those commitments that you truly care about.
Give 100% focus to the task at hand: Close out all of your browser windows and put your phone away from you. Get on a quiet place to work, or listen to music if that helps you. Concentrate on this single task. Nothing else should exist. Immerse yourself 100% on it.
Get an early start: If you start early you can finish it early. Starting any work early is the great way to finish your work just in time. It is so nice and less stressful to have an earlier start on something.
Know your goals: Make sure you are engaging in those activities that support your business goals, both in short and long term. Everything else has a potential for wasting your time. So, your daily plan should be made directly relate to generating income and growing your business.
Eliminate distractions: Try to pay attention to the number of times someone breakup you when you are in the midst of an important task. Your smartphone is extremely useful, but it the same time it is also addictive and most insidious time waster known to mankind. So, eliminate all of those distractions to give full concentration on your work.
Set reminders 15 minutes before: Most of the calendars have a reminder function. So, if you have an important meeting to attend, it’s good to set that alarm 15 minutes before.
Take care of yourself: Be sure and keep plenty of time for sleeping. Remember that, an alert mind is always a high-functioning mind and one that is less tolerant of time wasting activities. It will be better if you save time for exercise.
