L’Amoreaux is a neighborhood located northwest of Scarborough in the Greater Toronto area of Ontario. The town named after its first settler, Josue L’Amoreaux a Frenchman who settled in the area is bordered by Victoria park avenue to the east, McNicoll Avenue to the south, Kennedy road to the west and Huntingwood to the north. This town is well known for its winding tree-lined streets, and family oriented homes. Bridlewood, Wishing Well, and Bamburgh, are part of the planned subdivision communities which are part of the greater L’Amoreaux neighborhood. Each of this communities have their own schools, shopping mall and parks.

Most of the houses in L’Amoreaux were built in the 50s, 60s and 70s. They range from ranch bungalows, split levels and two storey houses, but there are also numerous high-rise apartments buildings sited along the exterior streets of the neighborhood. In L’Amoreaux, the two-storey executive styled houses sited near the Tam O’Shanter Golf Course are pratically the largest houses. This homes are sited on vast well-treed lands and have some of them backing the beautiful golf course.

Dr Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute is also a public high school located at 200 Fundy Bay Blvd. Beverly Glen Junior Public School is located at 85 Beverly Glen Blvd. Sir Ernest MacMillan Senior Public School is sited at 149 Huntsmill Blvd. Kennedy Public School is located at 20 Elmfield Crescent. Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School is located at 3200 Kennedy Rd. Terry Fox Public School sited at 185 Wintermute Blvd. David Lewis Public School located at 130 Fundy Bay Blvd are few of the numerous schools in L’Amoreaux.
Residents of L’Amoreaux have numerous shopping centers at their disposal, this shopping malls offers great services and sell quality products. The Bridlewood Mall located at 2900 Warden Ave is an awesome option. Others include, Bamburg Plaza at 11 McNicoll Ave, Metro At Bridle Woods Mall sited at Finch Ave E, and the St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Centre located 3333 Finch Ave E are the noted shopping centers in the town.
Foodies won’t be disappointed with the spectacular restaurants the city of L’Amoreaux has got to offer residents. L’Amoreaux Community Recreation Centre (2000 McNicoll Ave), L’Amoreaux North Park (1900 McNicoll Ave), Off Leash Dog Park at L’Amoreaux cricket Cente (1881 McNicoll Ave), Warden Park (2851 Warden Ave), and Sanwood Park (20 Sanwood Blvd). Sports centers & Entertainment hub
The L’Amoreaux Sports Complex (100 Silver Springs Blvd) and Tennis Centres (300 Silver Springs Blvd). Both are great sports centers for L’Amoreaux residents. While the more popular Tam O’Shanter Golf Course is located off Birchmount Road just north of Sheppard.
L’Amoreaux passengers connects to their respective stations through the Sheppard, Finch and Steelers buses on the Younge University Spidana subway line. Buses can also connect to the Bloor- Darforth subway line. The high way 401 on ramp south of Sheppard avenue provides quick access to the Don Valley Parkway for motorist.
