Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan is situated in the district of Scarborough and the neighbourhood at the east end of the city of Toronto, Canada. The neighbourhood is covered by Kennedy Road to the East, Victoria Park to the West, Highway 401 to the South and Huntingwood Drive to the North. The neighbourhood includes the Tam O’Shanter to the east of Warden and Sullivan to the west of Warden communities. It takes its name from O’Sullivan’s Corners and Tam O’Shanter golf course. Sometimes, this neighbourhood is included as a part of the neighbourhood of Agincourt, because Tam O’Shanter borders with it to the east. Interestingly, these two regions are the part of the electoral district of Scarborough— the Agincourt Mall and Agincourt is also located in Tam O’Shanter.

Many of the houses in Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan show the definitive architectural characteristics, and Wishing Well Acres site was developed here in Canada after World War I. Famous residents of the area developed in the surrounding area of Brad Park.

Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan home are characterized by the prominent front bay windows, arched entryways accentuated, and wide door casings. Etched dentil, intricate stonework, patterned masonry and artisan moldings are the other common design elements of Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan homes.


O’Sullivan’s Corners was named after Patrick O’Sullivan. It is consisted of a hotel and a post office. The post office opened in 1892 and closed in 1912, but reopened in 1956. “Town and Country”, the first subdivision in the neighbourhood, was verged by Victoria Park Avenue, Pharmacy and Ontario Highway 401, Sheppard Avenue, the north part of Lot 35, and Scarborough Township. The land had been farmed by Thomas Mason.

“Wishing Well Acres”, the next subdivision, was east of Pharmacy on the north part of Concession II, Lots 33 and 34, Concession II. This land had been farmed by Christopher Thomson and Ichabod Vradenburg in the 1870s.

Harry C. Hatch raised and trained five King’s Plate winners from 1927 to 1946, on his farm at the northeast corner of Sheppard and Pharmacy, including Monsweep (1936), Godlore (1937), Budpath (1941), Acara (1944) and Uttermost(1945).


Fairview Mall is a major shopping centre in Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan.  It is opened in 1970, the centre has over 170 stores and services, including Sears Canada, Hudson’s Bay, a cinema complex and offices. Warden Plaza is one of the biggest shopping mall in Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan. Shoppers Drug Mart and Tim Hortons make this a useful plaza in this area. Victoria Commons is medium size shopping mall for daily needs. Bath & Body Works is the chain shop with house brand bath & body products in a range of scents, plus candles & home fragrances. Teavana is known for its extensive gourmet tea selection also sells teapots & other accessories.


Zero Gravity Entertainment is one of the great places for the recreation to all age of residents mostly young people in Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan. Remezzo Italian Bistro is a casual eatery with Impressionist art & warm wood tones, serving Italian staples plus ribs & steaks. Alliance Entertainment Complex, Tony’s Restaurant & Bar, Harry Flashman’s Restaurant & Bar, Stephen Leacock Community Centre, Cineplex Cinemas, and CF Shops at Don Mills are also the good place for entertainment.

Getting around

Tam O’Shanter – Sullivan have good connection with their neighbour city. L’Amoureaux neighbourhood is connected with Ontario 401 express. Shepperd Avenue also go through the Agincourt area.
